i think it would be a good thing if it's true, retro is a very good developer and if someone else makes it it could come with new fresh ideas and a new look to the franchise at least that is what I'm hoping for

There were rumors Miyamoto wanted Zelda to be First person view when Nintendo was working on Ocarina of time. Maybe another studio needed help for the new Zelda Wii from Retro, which have been working a long time on Metroid, to get the first person view right.

Yeah..they're going to do an origin story for Samus when she was just a wee tot...ala Windwaker.  It will be adorable.

Im sure any game that Retro will release will be amazing whether is Zelda, Metroid or something absolutely new.

At least until they get to the part where her family and home planet is massacred by space pirates. Then you're gonna bawl like a baby.

I heard this rumor too, but long disbelieved it. Now it'll never come to pass, it seems.

I think that the rumour was they they WERE making a zelda game but not anymore..
