the PS2 gen was completley different. They could focus on just developing forPS2 since it had by FAR the largest user base and they would be able to sell it on one console and still make large profits. This gen both 360 and PS3 are so close in sales if you make it exsclusive you miss out on nearly half of all the target audience. GTA 4 was the most expensive game ever made....do you really think that putting an insanely expensive game like GTA5 will be on just PS3 they could still generate a profit? No way and if somehow they did it would be an incredibly small profit. Trust me the next GTA is no doubt a multi-plat game. |
*Sigh* I get all that. But there's evedence to suggest that there was some kind of contract there. Or is it just a rumor that Rockstar needed to make this exclusive IP to get out of the contract.
I'm not speaking to you specifically, but there is no need to spam the obvious financial implications behind why a GTA 5 Exclusive on PS3 would be unrealistic. Let's get back to the contract discussion.
