Left for Dead is so much better offline than it is online it's not even funny.

It might not work "as well" because some people don't have mics (on psn) but that doesn't mean it wouldn't work at all.

Frankly it's not that good when you don't play it locally. That's despite everyone having mics... It's just a different experience..

Also it needs more levels.

@Staude L4D is best with your friends,as any MP game is,Weither its KZ2 or CawD4.

and L4D requires a Mic,cause if you cant talk your already dead.

If anything, this is left 4 dead DLC. Still, any sort of content add-on for L4D would pretty much make E3 for me.

What? That last point is complete BS. L4D is brilliant online for PC, not sure about x360. Maybe you're playing with crappy pubs on xbl so that's soured your experience. I play with real friends on steam and it's absolutely great. Even when i play with steam friends it's still a lot of fun. I like to have my entire tv/monitor to myself for a game like this as well, thanks.

@garnett i've won it a few times without a mic, but it's much easier if you do you a mic i agree. Like all multiplayer games it enchances your coorporation

(in killzone 2 it gives me the ability to tell people in the game wtf to do.. or grumble if we're getting pwnd.)

I'm in the "this sounds more like DLC" camp. I can't see Valve re-hashing the game as badly as the description in the OP. Now if it were Activision...

i like it way more on lan than i did the time i played online. there is just something that is fun about yelling at your buddies.
