Last year my favorite gaming magazine ran a cover story entitled Damnation: The Best Game You've Never Heard of. Since, then I've been eagerly awaiting the release of this game from Codemasters former makers of the Colin McRae Ralley games. The game was released this month, and I've mainly seen negative reviews of it (Play doesn't have their review up yet, and it doesn't surprise me that most of the reviews I've seen for Damnation so far have been negative because the opinions of Play Magazine and the more mainstream gaming press often seem to differ. But, I've been reading the guys that write for Play since the mid nineties, and I take their opinions of those over most of the other game reviewers any day.)
Anyway, I saw Damnation at Wal~Mart today, and I thought about buying it, but the poor reviews and the fact that a review from Play for the game isn't available yet, led me to put off the purchase of Damnation for awhile.
So, I'm curious, if you've played Damnation, do you think it is awful or do you think it is awesome?
