well its a city area, but its located on 3 different islands with connecting bridges. Much like GTA.

I love this game too. I just haven't been playing excessively as I'm trying to get the spy and sniper weapons in TF2 too.
I got the huntsmen, but I suck using it.

Im getting my copy tomorow!!!

Theres too much positives about this game, it's making me want to rent it. I must keep strong.
| Megadude said: This game is not a rental. It's longer/better then Fallout 3. Got about 20 hours on it and am about 60% done. Then when I finish it I will be playing it again as a bad guy. |
LOLWTFBS
I've got the game, and I like it, but I just had to laugh at this statement (the first one). This is a fun superhero game, and stands up well in comparison to some other open-world superhero games. My wife is absolutely loving it, and I had a blast in teh hour or two I played for, but a few doses of reality:
-Just like any sandbox game, you could play right through in about 8 hours. There's only about that much actual story. If you're a completionist, or just F-off running around blasting stuff, you could conceivably play for the rest of your life.
-The game has its flaws, and deserves its 8.5 metacritic score. That said, that puts it in fairly solid company with the rest of the genre, above stuff like the Hulk or Superman movie games but not quite top of the superhero heap with Crackdown or a couple of the Spider-Man games. Impressive for a game starring Simon Pegg in an ugly jacket.
-I'm too busy playing UFC to really put any time into it so far, but outside of the well crafted pre-title sequence, it's a bit generic... like, all-around. He even moves like he wishes he was in a Spider-Man game.
Some positives, though:
-The city looks ten times better than it did in the trailers, which made it look bland to the point of annoyance. There are some beautiful vistas and some impressive architecture. That said, the buildings are unnaturally far apart and it overdoes the "barren wasteland" effect, making it look empty and fake.
-Manhatten. Come on, people... "An island? I thought it was a city!!" We've got a few of those in real life...
-Explanation of why he doesn't take a care to get around, like a GTA game, was brilliant fun in-game. I believe they also use the "short circuit" explanation for why a guy that can leap up the side of a building can't just swim to one of the other islands. The fact that he can't climb fences, though, is a little retarded.
Personal ranking: 8.5

Sorry but yes it kicks the crap out of Oblivion with guns. In every category. Most notably fun factor. And being good/evil actually changes every aspect of the game. Not just "I just nuked a town now my dad might be upset with me for like literally 15 seconds".
I could go on and on and on about why inFamous is better then Fallout 3 (btw I have the PC version of it).
I would agree with the OP but I purchased Spider Man web of shadows a month or so ago, and InFamous was basically the EXACT SAME STORY, at times I just refer to the main character as Parker.
The only difference was the slightly branching story, but if you follow the Hero side (which I beat the game under) it's exactly like web of shadows to the "T". Infamous side however is cool so far as far as stories go, but it's just too scarce and too thin.
Aside from that, the game could of used a few super kick arse moves and some legitimate combos not that think on the fly and make your own stunts with what the camera angle and games physics limit you with.
I'm Unamerica and you can too.

You could probably also go on and on about how PS3 is THE console... It doesn't mean anything you'd say would have any merit.
@dib8rman: Yeah, Web of Shadows definitely comes to mind. Except, the city changed during the course of that game, and looked like a city.
inFAMOUS is fun, but it's nothing special.

You're hilarious, Ive seen nothing you say can be taken seriously. Are you an alt account? Or how about taking off those fanboy glasses for a change.

I own both games? Do you? For some reason I doubt.
This is how I am able to objectively compare the two. It's not magic or X-Ray vision or glasses or whatever. Just My opinion.
