Asking because my freinds xbox broke awhile back on him.  He was getting some werid artifacting on the screen.  The next time he turned on the xbox it no longer displays video, but it has sound.  Ive tried every hook up for it so ive come to the conclusion that the video card is fried out.  Its out of the 1 year warrantly but still in the 3 year RROD/e74 warranty.  What is the best way of giving it the RROD? 

Just wrap some towels around it and leave it on for a few hours?

just play it regularly for about 3+ hours. haha

I was thinking about that but what if they test it and it doesn't do it.  Then try charging me. ugh

i think you can just say it gets the RROD im pretty sure they dont check. But either way u can wrap towles around it and let it sit for a long ass time

Stop the fans from spinning by sticking a thin stick to each fan through the exhaust vents ..

-that's a more efficient and quicker way to do it ..

alright ill try that, hopefully it doesn't burst up into flames lol

i was able to make it happen by putting it in a fridge for a few hours, taking it out, and then playing Gears for a half hour... Repeat until success...
