Forums - Nintendo - Nintendo's worst-case scenario for E3 2009

arrows would be flying if Kid icarus was announced as a bow training game :) just not the kind reggie would want.

One thing they could do is have no bigger game than Rayman Raving Rabbids 5 coming and then follow that up with a showstopping demonstration of Wii Can Sing or Wii's Got Talent!

I think Nintendo's E3 will be great. Here's some games that I either know will be there, or I'm expecting.

Red Steel 2
EA Grand Slam Tennis
Pikmin 3
Retro's new game
The Next Mario/Zelda
The Conduit
The Grinder
Wii Motion Plus Demo
Tatsunoko VS Capcom
Madden 10
Hopefully MW2
Spore Hero
Spyborgs

There's more but I don't want to list them.

Currently enjoying: Monster Hunter Tri.

That is still about fifteen dollars too much in my opinion.

That's OK, just don't buy them.  I haven't.

What is more amusing than the article is the Wii defenders who cannot even laugh at it.

Articles like this should stay light-hearted, silly, and way out in left field.

Taking stealth jabs at one of the most popular games is not the way to do that.

The problem is tone, and the tone was similar to that of the umpteen Nintendo-bashing articles we find all the time.

Yeah, I'll agree with that.

Yeah, I'll agree with that.

I mean, the article is presenting Wind Waker with better controls as a bad thing.

Luigi's Mansion too.  I've seen someone on this very forum asking for a Luigi's Mansion update.

I think that the article shows discontent with ports, wether they are straight ones or ones with better controls. I also rather have a new game, than a game I've already played. What's the point of having a new console if we are going to get old games?

Gamecube sales are just over 40% of Wii sales, which means around 30 million people so far who haven't played them. That's why Nintendo is doing this. Plus it's not just the old games. In addition to better controls, some offer extra content.
