@scottie
just look at the criteria for reviews on gamerankings. They have not included several reviews that metacritic has. The justification is that they do not meet those simple criteria.

Klonoa got a 6
UFC 2009 (PS3 version) got a 7
Even Pokemon Platinum only got an 8
Their top 10 for 2009 so far is
1 Street Fighter IV (360/PS3)
2 Empire: Total War (PC)
3 GTA: Chinatown Wars (DS)
4 Persona 4 (PS2)
5 Noby Noby Boy (PS3)
6 Death Tank (360)
7 Chrono Trigger (DS)
8 Little King's Story (Wii)
9 Warhammer 40K: Dawn Of War II (PC)
10 Disgaea 3 (PS3)
Seems like a decent list
i think you guys need to calm down. take a breath, its only one review.

How? Every time I click "Reviews" it takes me to the inFamous one....the design of the site sucks |
The reason VGChartz is not on metacritic and gamerankings is we do not have enough reviews. You must have x amount of reviews before applying to be on those two websites. I don't know what the limit is, but we should be there in a few months time.
scottie said: And you are advocating only taking reviews from people who say what you want them to say. Sorry, the readership number would be well above 1000. VGChartz Killzone 2 review has 23 000 views |
And, no I'm not.
This was one of the first ones I've actually read because I wanted to know why.
It has nothing to do with what I want them to say, I'm just personaly against using the opinions of amateurs. Think about it this way, if you expanded the review base enough, the only averages would be around 50%
GameCentral is a good, but harsh (in review terms) and very opinionated Teletext service.
I don't understand the big deal here. They gave inFamous a 6... so what? It's still an above average score. People need to chill, and realise there are opinions other than their own.
And as far as I'm concerned, GameCentral is a credible enough source to be on MetaCritic. I've been reading it for a few years now on Teletext, and enjoy their small articles and reviews. Like I said, they're harsh and opinionated, but they back those opinions up.
They also have a pretty good Inbox page.
Gamecentral has a popular following over here in the UK.
It's an up and coming games site just like VGChartz.
As i said....... i have been visiting gamecentral UK for at least 18 months (so who knows how long they have actually been going for)
They have reviewed tonnes of games on all platforms including PC, XBLA, PSN ect.
It's updated daily hence this is no flash in the pan review.
Looks like they are here to stay, get used to it.

that's a pretty eclectic list.
ok we get it, there's more than one review.
Hmm, these are the same guys that gave Killzone 2 a 7/10.
I wonder what a developer has to do to get a decent score from them.

Not make a PS3 exclusive. It's obvious as hell and it's obvious as hell why meta accepted it: $
