 Why would i say a game sucks just because its not on a Sony console, thats the dumbest thing i have ever heard.

I never played Final Fantasy 1 or 2.

 The gameplay is fine for the most part, but the job system is really bad.  The story was ok, but you never feel anything for the characters, i can't even remember their names and i just played the game the other day.  I never really knew what to do either, for the most part i just wondered around until i found out what to do.

No, FF8 certainly is the worst. Even Mystic Quest is better.

Ok, that explains it then.

FF3 is a good game for its style (late eighties JRPG), and comparable/better (depending on taste) to FF1 and FF2.

Given that you are a big Playstation Fan, your flaming of FF3 in the absence of similar flaming of the arguably worse FF1/FF2 (arguable because some will find them worse other better) made it look like you were bashing FF3 for the sake of it being on DS as opposed to FF1/FF2 also appearing on PS. It's just me extrapolating your general stance in the console war to this particular game; I probably should have added a /sarcasm tag.

Anyway, avoid FF1 and FF2 as they are in a similar style to FF3 but without the job system (and in FF1 the heroes do not even have names to remember).

isnt ff1-6 change characters so often you really dont have to remember them just follow the story which is all that really matters. and i thought hte same thing GT that a sony fanboy not liking a ds game meant you didnt like it cause it wasnt for the psp or any ps console. but i personally wish they'd go back to the turn base rpg's myself.
