awesome news, i love this game so very much. 4 + years of not stop playing and will transfer my character onto the ps3 version, when it comes out. anyone who plays this game or wants too give it a try, being a mage is the easiest job to get a pt invite. specially a whm or a brd job are very popluar jobs to get a invite all the time.

I am not going to buy this game for the third time. Do they still have the rule that if you close your account and are inactive in 6 months that you have to rebuy the game and you lose all your progress?

They aren't doing it for sales though, there doing it so ps2 players can still play it on ps3


The PS2 version's compatible with B/C PS3s. I also think it's the only PS2 game you were able to install on you system... I'm not sure if SONY still has that software to do that in the store anymore....

But you could be right, since you can't buy a B/C PS3 these days.

and for the drg comment, shit they rapes in bird merit camp party. Thanks to the new expansion areas most monster are weak to piercing dmg and drg kicks butt spaming penta thrust on it.

I forget what the amount of time is, but yeah, after so long you just lose your character.  I remember I stopped for a while and tried to come back but my character was already deleted so I'm sadly done with the game (because I really do like it).

The newer areas have a graphical update, such as from the third and fourth expansion packs. Plus your character in the newer areas has a bit of a different look to it; more detail is slightly shown on your armor.

so maybe they are going to update the whole graphic details..

Yeah, getting to about the 40 mark is a horrible grind (but still fun for the most part) and then 50-70 is just painful.  I spent so long in the 55-65 area just because finding a party wasn't easy, finding the time to be in the party after finding the party wasn't easy, and then being a gimped healer always sucked.

My main was SMN and, man, levels 1-69 were just hard because every party wanted you to be a WHM and expected you to heal as well as one.  I was pretty awesome at being a gimped WHM and was great at keeping the party alive, but it was just rough.  Soloing was a lot of fun but one mistake meant a lot of lost time.

Every now and then I was lucky enough to find all SMN parties, SMN/BST parties, and parties that let me do tihngs beside heal and those were always a blast, but being a gimped healer just sucked (especially if there was no RDM or BRD handy).
