Forums - Sony - Heavy Rain - Won't be ready for 2009

I think releasing it this year would be a mistake anyways.

When do you release it? Holiday season?

It would get lost with Uncharted 2, Ratchet and Clank, White Knight Chronicles, Bioshock 2, Modern Warfare 2, possibly MAG, Assassin's Creed 2, Tekken 6, etc...

If Alan Wake isn't delayed, there is a decent chance it will wipe the floor with both Uncharted 2 and R&C, the only two PS3 exclusives of note that appear to still have 2009 release dates...

So, a game in which we know little to nothing about is going to wipe the floor with 2 games that we know are going to be quality?

May I please borrow that crystal ball of yours?

When I'm done with it, sure.

The 2009 PS3 line up isn't as solid as some want to make out. What is actually confirmed for this christmas??

I wonder why Reeves ever touted this as a 2009 release ...

If you call PS3's 2009 lineup not solid then what does that make Nintendo's and Microsoft's?

For Christmas I think Ratchet and Clank, Uncharted 2 and possibly WKC are confirmed. We still have tons of multiplatform titles as well, 2 of which are 8M+ sellers. Wouldn't be too smart to throw so many games in there at the same time, they would just get destroyed.

Good, because I need some info on Kingdom Hearts 3.

Yeah he mentioned it at the end of a Heavy Rain video posted a few days back.

I guess for the holidays, Sony are going to rely on R&C, Uncharted 2, and possibly MAG.

That sounds very much like Holidays 2007, minus Lair.

It does a bit. Although Sony had a bit more then Lair in 07'.

Sony's holidays in NA:

2006: Resistance: FOM, Genji, Ridge Racer 7, Dark Kingdom.

2007: R&C: TOD, Uncharted, Heavenly Sword, Warhawk, Lair, Folklore.

2008: Motorstorm 2, Resistance 2, LittleBigPlanet, Socom Confrontation.

2009: R&C: 2, Uncharted 2, MAG?

Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2 will probably launch during the upcoming holidays, but it's not really an exclusive.

Unless Sony are experiencing a serious game drought at the moment, it looks like there's a good chance something has not been announced for the holiday 09' period.

Perhaps GOW III will make it?

Nintendo's and Microsoft's lineup have the ability to sublimate. Sublimation is the ability of a material to go from a gaseous to a solid state without passing through and intermediate liquid state. I expect this to happen in about 7 days.

Tease.

This is the big problem with the PS3. Its hottest exclusives are excellent games, but they are few and far between. The PS3 user experience seems to consist of a lot of waiting around while listening to promises, and it's really quite frustrating. Still, it's doing a little bit better than the Xbox 360 right now, so that's something.

The above quote made me lmfao. Hot exclusives are few and far between? In comparison to what? In the last twelve months alone I bought MGS4, Wipeout, Flower, inFamous, Killzone 2, Resistance 2, Little Big Planet, and loads more.

I was like "Gebx? Heavy Rain? Must be....oh yeh, it got delayed".

As does Sony's. We already know they have plenty of other PSP games to show and we have a new PS3 game set to announce as well.

In 7 days Sony may have some gaseous material moving into a solid state as well. Hopefully that secret title from last year becomes a solid during E3 as well.

While Sony and MS struggle, Nintendo rules: world domination's approaching! BWAHAHAHAHAHAH!!!
Sorry, couldn't help that!

Correct me if I am wrong but doesn't the wii have the "worst" draughts since the gamecube?  Your post is off-topic so it seems more like a troll post, either way Nintendo is not one to put up as the console with the greatest saturation of games period either.

Noooo, how could you think this, I always write "BWAHAHAHAHAHAH!!!" in my most serious posts!
