Forums - Nintendo - Remember when being secretive before E3 was a GOOD thing?

Nowadays it appears that not having your E3 lineup previously known means "OMG NINTENDO HAVE NOTHIIIIING I WON'T GET HYPED THEY'VE ABANDONED ME >:(", but back when E3 actually did matter(i.e. 06 and prior to it), having unknown titles was something good because it usually meant a great show.

I can't believe people actually think Nintendo have nothing for E3. Their fall lineup is non-existant and you think it's going to stay that way? Yeah, good luck with that.

tl;dr - I'm tired of people saying Nintendo have nothing because we know nothing of their lineup yet.

Of course Nintendo will have nothing. All of Nintendo's studios have been on vacation since their last titles released. Nintendo has no intention to release any more games until 2012.

people are so used to the Sony's and EA's of the world announcing projects as soon as their green lit that when Nintendo decides to play koy (and they always do) they see it as a sign of weakness when in reality its holding your cards close to your chest.

well games obviously dont exist unless theyre announced with cg trailers 3 years before they release!!

Actually, lately it seems to be acouple of leaks about what's being shown at Nintendo's E3.

  • Metroid Prime: Triligy
  • Gladiator A.D.
  • Modern Warfare 2
  • Tatsunoko vs Capcom

I'm sure I might be forgetting some games.

why would nintendo need to make games? they already built a machine to print all the money they could possibly ever want for them. :) jk, I'm sure nintendo has plenty of big game announcements, and microsoft for that matter.

However, I think Sony has already announced most of their big games and will mostly just be showing trailers of these games, but ya never know, I could be wrong :)

That's what I'm thinking too. It seems like everyone is giving Sony the win already simply because they have a lot of games already announced, but people seem to miss the fact that surprises tend to win E3 and Microsoft and Nintendo have pretty much non-existant lineups. Personally, I think Sony is the contender least likely to win E3 out of the big 3. We already know almost all the stuff they've got, they can't do much more than show more trailers from their blockbusters.

how anyone can say that sony will won E309 when almost all their titles that will be presented on their conference were shown year ago on E3 back in 2008? for me they already lost.

E3 2009 is basically Nintendo and Microsoft
