@Pinab, so if Marth is not a good idea because is old then Mr GaW, pit, Lucas, Ness and ROB should not be in the game. I think Fire emblem deserves to have 2 characters, is a franchise with 11 games and sold more than pikmin for example.

Mother 3, the game Lucas is from, came in 2006.
I agree with you that I think Fire Emblem deserves 2 characters, mostly because it's such a long-running franchise with a dedicated fanbase, but I'm just sayin' :p
-Megaman and Bomberman would be sweet as far as characters go. Maybe Pac-Man aswell.
-Bowser needs his own stage, fighting him in Delphino Plaza is just wrong.
-And while we're at it, make Bowser not suck so much.
-Working online, obviously.
-All the satges from previous games. It can't be that hard.
-Fewer satges with ground all the way to the edge.
-No more weird stages like Mario Bros. They're cool in theory but not in practice.
-AI that doesn't gravitate the whole fight towards you, Melee was so much better to play with fewer than 3 human players, they'd split up to fight rather than moving toward wherever you go as a group, it really ruins the fun of playing a 4 player match by yourself.
-Fewer bombs that appear in front of you while you're charging a smash attack. It's so damn annoying to have a bomb pop-up in fornt of you with no way to stop it from killing you. Never seemed to be a problem in Melee.
-More options for the stage creator, like water or destructible blocks.
-AND MOST IMPORTANTLY. Give us the option to have multiplayer default to stock. Nearly every time I play I have to quit and change it to stock. Score matches don't work for 4 player matches.
More tweeks than additions to the game, but it has to be said.
"Now, a fun game should always be easy to understand - you should be able to take one look at it and know what you have to do straight away. It should be so well constructed that you can tell at a glance what your goal is and, even if you don’t succeed, you’ll blame yourself rather than the game. Moreover, the people standing around watching the game have also got to be able to enjoy it." - Shiggy

Then, he should not be in the game cause is not out of japan
. (this is news to me, i'll have to check it out)
As for Fire emblem characters they could put Micaiah (from FE10) as a Zelda clone eheheh
@burgerstein, agree with almost every point except the third. Bowser is a pretty good character - i have suffered in my skin a not so sucky Bowser. Brawl is a well balanced game except for meta knight online as some people tend to complain, thougth i have more issues with marth/pit/falco players...
oh in melee bombs appeared in front of us like that too. Loved the last point, they made the exuse of puting 2 minute brawl on random matches so that we could save them, but i believe nobody is interested in saving games with unhnown people.

Lol true. 10 minutes to get matched up and then match prolonged to 7 minutes due to lag.
Online in Brawl kind of killed the game for me. First it took to long to match up. Then you had to deal with lag. Then there were only timed battles unless with friends which is in no way a true test of who is the best player. There should have been stock battles. With timed battles people just use Ike and continue to do his smash attack which guarantees a KO if the opponents HP is anything close to 70%. Makes for some very cheap matches. Then the online with friends involved me playing with some of the VGChartz community who turned out to be so good they actually made me hate the game but with the crap online I couldn't be bothered to practice more to be able to match them.
So all I want next time is better online and for other players online to be less good than they are in Brawl.
Biggest Pikmin Fan on VGChartz I was chosen by default due to voting irregularities

Of course the obvious such a fix online mode. Put in online ranking and matchmaking system. In fact separate online into un-ranked and ranked. Then after you can select items or no items. Finally you can select FFA, 1 vs 1, and 2 vs 2. That way any kind of player can find there preffered way to play. Make it so it doesn't lag.
Make it so we can save replays no matter how long they are
Upgrade the stage editor. Allow the players to flip and rotate anyway the user feels. Also notify us on which pieces are ledges and which aren't. Then allow the creator to change colors of the piece.
Bring back old N64 stages. Have a decent selection of past stages.
Allow for DLC such as stages, difficulty settings, and characters. Have one slot on the roster for Downloadable character.
Add Isaac and Alex to represent Golden Sun.
Add one of the Hunters to represent Metroid Prime
Add little Mac.
Alright so that is the general things people want. More characters, more stages, and better online. Now onto some stuff most people don't think about.
Allow the Final Smash to be stored in a meter. Similar to what is done in other fighting games. Reward the player for teching, meteor canceling, and power shielding by filling up the final smash meter. Also Balance out the final smashes better. Allow the user to turn on or off this option.
Allow players to tech in air footstools. Make it harder than normal teching but still allow it. This will make footstool infinites avoidable but still possible.
Allow the option to turn on a escape guage. This will give fill up as the player takes damage. When activited it will allow a period of invincibility frames, remove you from hitstun, and increase DI. This will allow players to avoid infinite without having to ban them.
Remove random tripping.
Bring back L-canceling but make it so it only reduces 1/3 of cooldown.
Bring back perfect and powershielding.
Increase the speed and weight but only slightly.
Increase hitstun but again only slightly.
Don't bring back wavedashing.
Have a cooldown period between airdodges. Make it so players can preform other actions, but make it so they aren't able to do another airdodge for a certain number of frames.
There is more ideas I have had, but it would take a while to type out.
95% of gamers don't know they are noobs, the 5% who do won't be noobs for long

More girl representation... Peach, Zelda, and Samus/ZSS is a pretty small roster.
Micaiah, Eirika, or Lyn of Fire Emblem would be an interesting choices.

Triple the roster. Seriously, I have read at least that many good suggestions. I wouldn't even care if that meant a huge increase in the number of move clones.
Flesh out the first player mode. What they had was pretty good considering no one was asking for it. But next time they should have a decent first player game.
Stage builder - see first player mode.
Online. I don't really care about this, but it seems most other people do. I understand why its hard to do with a game like this, but when most of the player base is demanding it, find solutions.
Other than that, I would like to see them bring back some of the options they retired after SSBM.
- I never used the stage builder because you can't build anything that isn't square and ugly. Make it more versatile, I don't need it to be LBP, just to be a little more varied.
- More 3rd party characters, but keep Sonic and Snake in, too. I'd suggest Megaman, of course, a Belmont, and someone completely unexpected, like Nathan Spencer (classic Radd version, obviously), Master Higgins, Firebrand (Gargoyle's Quest), or Arthur (Ghost & Goblins).
- Add a couple of Nintendo characters like Little Mac, Ridley, King K. Rool, Tom Nook, Saki, Samurai Goroh, some kid from Advance Wars and another from Golden Sun, and again, someone unexpected, like Doc Louis, the guy from Startropics, Kalas from Baten Kaitos, or Palutena.
- And a post in this topic wouldn't be complete without a "FIX THE EFFING ONLINE!"
