You haven't tried it online? Everything about the single player and local multiplayer is good but the online is close to unplayable. They should have just left it out of the game. It's that bad.

I could do the same story with PC players... hey come play Halo... what need to pay for online? need a specific headphone? need to aim with joysticks??

Just to point out that all systems have their flaws and depending on what you are used to, the other systems will seem to lack somewhere...

 

Your story doesn't say if he likes MKWii or not?

This is my top ten for the wii games I played and finished :

1. Super Smash Bros Brawl
2. Super Mario Galaxy
3. The Legend of Zelda Twilight Princess
4. Mario Kart Wii
5. Okami
6. Resident Evil 4 Wii Version
7. Resident Evil Umbrella Chronicles
8. Zack & Wiki
9. Tenchu Shadow Assassin ( PS2 graphics I admitted but not a bad game).
10. Naruto Shippuuden Gekito Ninja Taisen EX series (Jap only)

 only two games on online play T_T

I don't have the game, it is quite low on my list of games I want to buy.... especially so given that it will still have a high price.

Eh, what? It's not THAT bad, just make sure everyone's connection is good.

 

I was playing online in Brawl for 2 hours yesterday and it was completely playable to me. I only had a few matches that slightly lagged.

Mario Kart Wii fans love exaggerating problems with Brawl's online functionality. 

It's the best they can do after those last numbers released that showed that SSBB was easily the most played online game on Nintendo's networks.

SSBB is totally playable online with the Friends options and it's not like getting people on your list is hard there's VGC's Brawl thread, Smashboards and Allisbrawl to get friends code from.
