Well, yes, if you've found EVERY FF better then EVERY Tales, then Vesperia won't make you think that Tales games are better then FF games. However, I can almost assure you that after playing it you'd see how many of us can find Vesperia being better then all recent FF games.

I have my doubts.

I'm sure you'll think ToV is a great game but judging by how much you love FF12 i don't think you'll love it better then it. Whats you least favorite FF game anyways?

Well in my opinion ToV is better then both games. I thought FF7 was great but thought FF8 was too much of a chore. ToV to me beat both games in almost every aspect. Better characters (Yuri Lowell>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>Cloud and Squall though i liked Cloud), better combat system (FF7 battle system was cool while FF8's was not so cool), Better storyline (though Part 3 of ToV was not as good as Part 1 and 2 but it was still cool and i liked FF7's storyline). The only thing about FF7 and FF8 i would put above ToV is music. Make sure to get the PS3 version of ToV if it comes to the states.

Really, the characters? Yuri was cool, everyone else was terrible. I especially hated estelle and karol. Terrible, terrible. Also, while i liked TotA's story somewhat, and thought ToS was decent story-wise, I thought Vesperia was terrible. It was nothing new AND executed badly, as opposed to nothing new and executed sometimes quite well (FF).

Equal to the number of times you say that the characters in that game were good. I'm just here to put some order in this crazy, crazy world where people like you with WRONG opinions are allowed to post their disgusting, vile, repugnant, animistic drivel.

You need to learn that not everyone thinks or have the same opinion as you. I guess your mind is still stuck in middle school.

Ok, next time i'll tone it down so you can keep up with me. Wouldn't want to run away with a game the other team doesn't even know they are playing.

Tales has better combat, that's why I can beat Tales games multiple times and hardly beat any FF a second time( never is a better word,) it doesn't mean Tales is better, I just find the combat more fun so I have more replay value with it(especially with the grade options.)

OP: I would say FF overall but if you take the latest two Tales games and compare them to the latest two FF then Tales win. FFX>ToV and ToTA > FFXII and FFXI

It's a pretty good series. I'd recommend it. No, no, no. That would be doing it wrong. You owe it to yourself to play the Final Fantasies that you haven't played yet. Final Fantasy X is a great place to start. All of the PS1 FFs are good as well, but I the blockly graphics turn off some. (FF9 is the least of the graphical issues)

Sometimes, opinions are just idiotic. In this case, saying Yuri was the only good cast member is like missing a bullseye by shooting yourself in the foot.



GOTY Contestants this year: Dead Space 2, Dark Souls, Tales of Graces f. Everything else can suck it.

Hmmm, I'm going to have to go with Tales. I used to be big on FF games, but for some reason I'm really getting turned off from them. The last FF game I really appreciated was X. Tales games I've always enjoyed, save for DotNW. I'm an fan of the older FF games really, that's one reason I'm partial to the "Tales of"series at the moment.Right now FF XIII isn't even on my radar but I'm stoked for Vesperia PS3 and Graces. Obviously, I'm not saying which one is better than the other since it's all subjective in the end, but for now I enjoy Tales more.

 

FF games tend to have deeper stories, but Tales games always have awesome character interaction, which is big for me. I enjoy the Tales cast more than the FF cast when it comes to that. I felt nothing for the FF XII cast and could care less what happened to them, I really tried...I at least enjoyed the gameplay enough to enjoy the game, but the cast itself bummed me out. The "Tales of" series always seems to have an enjoyable cast,(Again, with an exception of DotNW's Emil and Marta)even if they aren't the most original characters out there.

In the end, I enjoy both series for what they are, but I like Tales of more at the moment.

 

Also, I am sad that not much people seem have been bringing up Final Fantasy Tactics(PSone,PSP),that to me is the most

brilliant Final Fantasy out there. If you haven't played it, do yourself a favor and go get it right now. Awesome game.

In it's whole, Tales of > Final Fantasy without much doubt.

However, FF VI rules...

BTW, IMO Yuri is by far the worst main character in "Tales of" ever!! I can't stand it. ToV is nice, but I can't understand some decisions about the intervenients...

Tales as recent rapes Final Fantasy, tbh. The series had nothing that can compare to Tales since FFX.

Tales had Abyss, Vesperia... these two destroy FF XII.
