It's real simple logic: $199 360 vs. $399 PS3 = same sales, therefore if either of the two are doomed, I'd put my money on the 360. And there's no doubt that the PS3's software line up is very impressive in comparison to previous years. So are either of them doomed? Probably not, but if one were to drop out early, it's almost certainly going to be the 360. |
If the PS3 was identical to the Xbox 360 Arcade AND twice the price then your argument would have some merit. Really now, its a complicated issue.
However im pretty sure that a slim Xbox 360 would cure the major weaknesses of the design for European and Japanese consumers in that it doesn't come with wireless and its simply too noisy and people notice more because the homes are smaller. (Noise diminishes rapidly with distance). They cannot add wireless now, and it would require a chassis redesign to minimise the noise.
Tease.

WHAT!
Kill zone 2 had comercials running through every WWE weekly show...And many other spots....While Halo wars had to deal with sharing spots with Star Ocean 4/ RE 5 and Street Fighter IV
This thread is now just people Failing to show the OP he is wrong in facts. So in fact people trying to show him he failed are the ones even failing harder than the OP because now they are just using BS theories.
Fail+Fail=Epic Failure
This thread is one fail short of a salt stand in the desert.

FootballFan - "GT has never been bigger than Halo. Now do a comparison between the two attach ratios and watch GT get stomped by Halo. Reach will sell 5 million more than GT5. Quote me on it."
@zizzla, WWE, is not the only show in the world, I watch it too and I never saw a killzone commercial.

Halo Wars may have gotten some love on gaming sites but it had almost no marketing, Killzone 2 on the other hand had an insane amount of marketing. Well, not Halo 3 insane, but about Gears level marketing.
crazzy - don't you have a paycheck to collect from sony for whoring yourself out for them all these years????
You have prostituted your pride, dignity and veracity for sony corp.
How does it feel to be a brainwashed tool for a major corporation that cares nothing about you?

If you count WWE RAW as a sport, sports dominated the top ten with only iCarly at #10 breaking up the sports-streak. Seven NBA playoff games made the top ten. Game #7 of the Orlando Magic vs. Boston Celtics where the Magic from Orlando won the decisive game seven on Boston’s home court was the most watched program on cable for the week with 8.382 million viewers.
In Plain Sight was back in the top 20 (#12) with 3.948 million average viewers and its lead-in, Law & Order: Criminal Intent was #19 with 3.709 million.
Top twenty cable network television shows for the week ending May 17, 2009:

Good, that is a pro towards your point

Okay, that is not good for your point, means the 360 increased a lot and the PS3 fell a lot.

The sky is blue when its not cloudy - another thing that has nothing to do with this point.

No, your first two sentences disprove this one - how can you not see that?

I would mention the color of the sky again but I have a feeling your not going to see my point. The high price of the PS3 is not an excuse for sales lower than the 360. The only thing that matters are the sales themselves, that is the reason the DS is beating the PSP, the Wii is beating the 360 and the 360 is beating the PS3 - there is no way around it.
Currently dreaming of: DKC4 or Sonic the Hedgehog 4 (classic 2D platformers) for WiiWare, Smash Bros. for DSi, New Super Mario World for DSi, a Wii remake or true sequel of Final Fantasy Tactics.
One down, hopefully more awesomeness to come.
You are really grasping at straws there... a complete troll thread.
