Forums - Gaming - Why restrict yourself to one console?

But I read a lot of the gaming threads and people are reluctant to say a Sony game is good if they support Ninty or vice a versa if you know what I mean.

Cost is an issue for most people of course, but I know some people are more stubborn beyond just cost.

oh well lol

In the internet you will find a lot of fanboys that buy videogame thinking that it is a weapon, and that the game industry is a war, you can't change the opinion of this kind of "person", is too hard.

I enjoy having all 3 consoles, a gaming PC and a DSi. That being said, time (career, 2 kids, wifey, ect) has interfered with my gaming vice cost. But I am cool with that when it comes to my family.

But I can totally relate to members who must choose based on there current financial situation. It is unfortunate, but gaming is pricey, especially if you want to experience what the industry has to offer in its fullest.

Money´s not a problem for me, but I´m running out of time, will and dedication to own 3 home consoles and a handheld (as you can see in my sig)...so I´ve decided this is the last generation where I´m a multiconsole owner...next gen is only one home system and a handheld..I´ll miss out on a lot of good games, but so be it.

Yea its not that i don't have the money, its that i don't wanna spend so much on another console when i already have one.  Most games are multiplatform anyways

I'm only currently missing the 360 as far as consoles go (never been a handheld guy), but I probably won't get it because I dislike the controller and I can't think of where I would put it.

Just figured I'd give a reason for why one might miss out on a console other than cost.

I acually prefer the 360 controller (minus to d-pad) but i never thought no one would dislike it enough to not buy the console because of it

you know they have adapters, so that the xbox controllers work with the playstation and vice-versa

It not like money grows on trees. I could get treasure to try and get it but, it won't work

Tag:I'm not bias towards Nintendo. You just think that way (Admin note - it's "biased".  Not "bias")
(killeryoshis note - Who put that there ?)
Switch is 9th generation. Everyone else is playing on last gen systems! UPDATE: This is no longer true. 2nd UPDATE: I have no Switch 2. I am now behind

Money or you don't want the other console. I can afford a Wii, I just don't want one.

@dsister
I could consider it then, I'd have to look into the adapters, and figure out where I'd put the thing as that was the other issue. I would want it to work cordless, can I get an adapter to that will allow me to play with a PS3 controller cordlessly or would I need to play with a cord. I've kinda gotten used to playing without the cords, and have grown to like it. And after all that is said and done, I'd have to get the money, I just didn't want to mention that issue because everyone has.

@rckrz6
I assume there are people who stay away each console for controller issues, it's quite important.

i don't know. i was looking into one for fighting games, so that i could have a much better d pad(but i went with a fighting stick instead). but i believe you could get it wireless.
