Their circumstances are pretty simillar, and while I like the play on Wii series, it does seem like a bit much to have Pikmin 1 and 2 both released under the label. I guess I can understand why such a thing wouldn't work. Where MP3 has been out for a long time now, Pikmin 3 probably needs to get a stand alone release as opposed to coming as part of a trilogy set. But at the same time, imagine how awesome it would have been to get all 3 on one disc. Considering that P 1 and 2 have already gotten the Wii treatment, think there's any chance that a year or two after Pikmin 3's release we might get another trilogy disc?
And are there any other Nintendo franchises that would work under this formula? As far as I can tell it's pretty slim, since you'd need Wii games with Gamecube predecessors that specifically benefit from Wii controls.
