Seems like a PS3/360 game. Well it does sound interesting, but it's an action game so untill gameplay is shown I am not getting interested.

Yeah, and the best way to do that is to finish these major titles which are going to sell loads

But throwing more staff onto the project may not advance it much if at all. Sometimes it's better to have smaller teams of higher quality workers, and the people working on Nier are probably better off not working on FF13. And if they weren't working on a new IP they'd proably be working on another port of an older FF instead.
