Disney does not own Sora. Sora is made by Nomura and Nomura is working with Square Enix. So really Nomura has control over Sora.

Nope. It doesn't matter who made them. The rights to Sora, Riku, Kairi, Roxas, Namine, Axel, Ansem, the rest of Organization 13 and every other Kingdom Hearts orginal character lie with Disney and Disney alone.

and for birth by sleep they don't even mention final fantasy characters

So then there ARE going to be Final Fantasy characters. Really though, I don't see it being too much of a problem in 358/2 Days. The game revolves so heavily around Organization 13 anyway. Now if Birth by Sleep doesn't have any Final Fantasy characters, then I would be worried.


i'm losing my hope with birth by sleep knowing that game revolves around the keyblade masters or chasers. but i still got my finger crossed please nomura don't let us final fantasy fans down!!

Okay kids, today's lesson is in trademarks. The primary holding for the game "Kingdom Hearts" is Disney. Hence the listing of their trademark. SE gets credit for the development, but the only trademark they are claiming is their logo. Square Enix has absolutely zero rights to Kingdom Hearts. It's completely Disney's game. Need more proof? Disney already made a Kingdom Hearts game without SE.

On the flipside, the main character isn't a Final Fantasy character either.

No final fantasy character has ever had a reprisal protagonist role. They are also from the FF dimension, as explained in the game.

eh I'll still be getting KH:BBS, since Terra and the other chick look interesting (though that Venard dude can GTFO of the game). I'd never get the one on DS though, Org XIII was the worst part of KHII...

If you're going to complain about KH handheld games not having FF characters, you were never a KH fan to begin with. You likely get KH games for the FF cameos.

very true..im hoping that disney continues to have less attention on FF and more on KH
