Forums - Website Topics - Can we ban confessed pirates and modders?

Why not have the pirates and modders reported to governement authorities. Maybe legal action can be taken against people pirating or modding which steals billions of dollars in revenue from developers every year. The moderators could issue reports to the ISPs of people on here who break the law.

lol no is this a joke or something?

you cannot take action against something you cannot prove. Someone admitting something is not evidence, and using it in that way goes against everything we stand for.

Starcraft, I don't think you've thought this through. If this gets implemented, you're looking at discussing games between yourself and twesterm all day. Everyone else will be gone.

Speak for yourself. I'm all for banning people who say they did something but may have not really. Serves them right for opening their mouths. An honest man can never be fooled.

Can we ban starcraft instead?

Ahh... Found the problem that was making me type like that!

Maybe, ban the people than gives ideas of how to piracy games, provides links, programs, chips, etc.

I bough (for pc) Half life 2 for 2 dlrs (not original of course) and i downloaded the episode 1, but i am not making threads about it, thats a big difference.

I agree, you could ban people than use the forums to promote the piracy, but not the people than just accept than they use it.

OH SHET!

No.

Posting that you smoke pot and think it should be legal (in off-topic) - ok.
Posting links to sites describing where to get it and how to grow it, etc - not ok.

Posting something even though you're a convicted felon - ok.
Posting something that furthers the act of a felony - not ok.

How about we all just treat each other with respect and try not to break any of the laws in our respective countries while we're at it?
