I bought a new PC when Half Life 2 came out just to play that. Some years later I bought another new PC just to play the Half Life 2 Cinematic Mod that came out. I am hoping Valve takes there time on Half Life 3, I can't keep buying new computers!

Wait... I bought a PS1 for FF7.  That's right.  I keep blocking that out since FF7 sucked and there were plenty of good PS1 games after that.

I originally bought Wii for Super Smash Bros Brawl. I knew I'd get atleast SMG, MP3 and maybe couple more soon though.

Well I bought PS3 for God of War3, and upgraded my PC graphic card because of CivIV. Well spent money.

No Bugrimmar, you're really not crazy. Here's my history:

Playstation: Bought for Wipeout 3 and Gran Turismo, found out there were other games in existence about a year later ;p

Gameboy Colour: Got just for the glory of Pokemon Gold. Never owned another GBC game.

Playstation 2: Bought for, um, Wipeout Fusion and Gran Turismo 3...turned out to be the best console ever, must have played over 100 PS2 games and owned at least 50.

Gameboy Advance: I got it for Pokemon Ruby/Sapphire, but I managed to branch out more than the GBC, and not just to Pokemon Leaf Green, but also for Yoshi's Island and Rayman 3 (both stone-cold classics).

Gamecube: I bought one just for Pokemon Collosseum- yes, I'm Pokemon's bitch. I also played and hated Super Mario Sunshine and a couple other games.

DS: Bought because I knew it would one day have a new Pokemon and I wanted to get in early to make sure.

Wii: Bought because Wii Sports + the Wiimote looked awesome (and Pokemon Battle Revolution looked good too...)

PS3: Bought for Wipeout HD. This was the hardest of all because I hated Sony and everything that they did with the PS3 for so long, but I cant resist Wipeout. Also looking forward to (suprise suprise) Gran Turismo 5.

So there, my lunatic fanboyism for three series basically drove me to buy 8 consoles.

I plan on buying a Genesis just for Shadowrun and a Sega CD just for Night Trap. And next time I come across a cheap 2600 I'll buy it just for Warlords.

The only time I've done it before is my PC.  I got it in 2004 for Half-Life 2.  Haven't upgraded since.
