You know what I can't stand from Square Enix as well as from other developers? All these time they're criticizing the PS3 and all before you'll know it they'll be the biggest buddies with Sony again and a console such as the WII can stuff it up. Square Enix is only mad because they're affraid they won't make enough money on the PS3, which is really a lot of bull.... Once a FFXIII is releasing, console will sell a lot.

Same thing with Star Ocean IV, they still HAVEN'T announced to which darn platform that game is hitting to. All because they first wish to see how sales continue of the PS3.. will it go well and therefore enough profit to gain it will hit the PS3, if not... probably a 360 or multi platform version... They might think the gamers are stupid to see that through... but I'm not!

Good post, a rare thing in this thread. 

Its also a bit of a pissing contes between Sony and SE, and a scare tactic.

Ignoring the blue-ray player, the PS3 is like the 360 only more expensive and with a smaller game library.  It NEEDS blue-ray to be a selling point for the system to compare favorably with the 360.  Not advertising blue-ray would be suicide.

Soriku, if FF was realeased now, I'd bet would sell 3.4m. You have to remember that Resistance didn't have the install base at the time, and it wasn't really big in Japan like FF would be.
