Seriously our plan is to replace their elected government with a CEO of a guy who did a crappy job in the first place?  What the hell.

Obama claims he's not involved but Hillary Clinton and other top officials have been part of the negotiations.  So either he is involved or he's damn well not keeping track of his cabinent.

I mean seriously... uprooting a democratically elected government.  I thought we were past this...

If it wasn't so cold i'd consider moving to Canada.

Just got done listening to the thing on NPR and it's just outright disheartening.

It's not so cold here, depending on where you live. Either coasts, namely the west, are fairly mild. Winters are great too! So many fun activities open up when there is plenty of snow.

On-topic: Very saddening news. Perhaps I'm just naive, but I really am surprised by this. It's as you said, I thought we (or you... whatever) were past all of this.

Edit: Is this this the same guy who had been suspected of influencing Afghani candidates to drop out of the presidential election a few years back?

America really needs a powerful third party, and one that's a bit more concerned about peoples individual needs and a bit more liberal in a European sense. I don't like either party, but I do prefer the Democrats.

Anyway... what was my point again?

Well actually they were saying high ranking europeon officials were in on the deal too.

Hence Canada.  Doing well for itself... yet too insignificant on a grand stage to worry about screwing with other countries.

I just didn't count the EU in on this rant... because they're trying to push more and more power to the EU government without letting the people of msot countries voting on it is a lot of the same to me.

At least that is them trying to do so to there own people though.
