Red Steel currently sits at 1.18m sold, and COD3 is at 1.17.

RS got way more attention and stuff than COD3, but yet, it has the chance of becoming the highest-selling 3rd-party Wii FPS?Idon't get it.The consensus was that COD3 was bad (except Zucas disagrees). Did COD: World at War boost it or something?

Sometimes bad games sell. I dunno, I didn't even know CoD3 was on the Wii until it suddenly passed a million with that adjustment a while back.

It's not as though Red Steel was acclaimed either. Both were launch games and sold well, which at least shows that an FPS audience for the Wii exists. Also note that WaW is selling much faster.

Well of course I disagree. It was the only shooter I would even continue to play until MP3 and MOHH2 came out. Controls were great but it took some tweaking and time. Most people just never did that. As I said, there loss for that first year.

And all I see here is why you think it is over tracked but not necessarily anything in there that gives a real reason why. What is the point of this thread then?

CoD 3 Wii sold most of its copies for $20 in the bargain bin. Probably had a lot of help from the brand name recognition and quality of other Call of Duty games, too.

No worries, WaW will soon surpass it, then to be surpassed by The Conduit. Hopefully MW2 surpasses TCon :)
