Wait. You bring up points which you then don't want to argue??? WTF?! As this thread is dedicated by the opening post to argue, my position is, that you then please just keep them for yourself.

The bolded phrase makes no sense to me. I can't recall any phase except for some first world countries in the last 60 years, where this wasn't the case for humankind. It's not that life sucks, it's more that reality in nature is cruel.

Well if you blame them on the Fall you still blame God, cause he then must have brought them, as he is omnipotent.

I just wanted to post to say that you are being an asshole, good day to you

I don't know, what your background is, but I would reckon, as you are 17 years old, that you probably never heard, that

a) if somebody throws something in

b) and tells he doesn't want to argue

his statement is invalid in every debate

appolose stated his reasons and then it's fairly acceptable, but throwing in a senseless "you're being an asshole" doesn't do anything at all. Except showing yourself in a bad light. So a good day to you as well

Khuutra asked me to explain why I thought the context of Genesis showed that it was not metaphorical, so I did.  I don't want to getinto a debate about it, though.

The Creatoin account implies this was not the case during the beginning.  If it were, then it wouldn't be "very good".

As for the fall, I don't blame God for it because of a free-will thing that happened.

It's perfectly allright, that you're not interested in getting into another debate, when you just came from one which lasted one month.

I think this is interesting non the less, because as a moderate christian, it's really hard to understand the extreme views and where the points you make come from. Simply because in my country, this views are nearly nowhere to be found.

So if you change your mind, it would be great to have a debate with you.

I would be interested, too.  I'd love to fully explain this.  You'll probably bump into me again in such a topic sooner or later, and I'll probably be re-energized by then :)

I have read numerous passages in the bible that appear to support evolution. I'll try and find the website.

@ khuutra

No I still believe in creation. I just believe that the stronger/smarter humans survive like natural selection and "survival of the fittest" point out. Also the stronger animals survive and the weak ones are killed off.

I DO NOT believe that the Earth was started from "the big bang" and I DO NOT believe that humans were created through evolution.

So do you subscribe to the creation story where Eve was created last out of all the creatures in the world, or where Eve was created at the same time that Adam was?

I do not believe in evolution and the so called "origin of life" because they are theories.

And I blame new illnesses on the Fall (not the season).

Well if you blame them on the Fall you still blame God, cause he then must have brought them, as he is omnipotent.

As for the fall, I don't blame God for it because of a free-will thing that happened.

God created evil and suffering by proxy, no matter what way you try to spin it. God also states numourous times in the bible he is the source of the light and the dark, good and evil.

I really dislike it when christians ignore their own scripture, and act like god is the source of all good and neglect the fact that the bible also says he's the source of all evil as well.

Sometimes they blame it on the snake or devil... Who created the snake or devil? Sometimes they blame it on Adam and Eve. Who created Adam and Eve? Sometimes they blame it on free will... Who created free will?

Also, how was Adam and Eve's will actually free? God had to have known they would eat from the tree eventually. There is no such thing as free will, only determined will with varying factors.

Ignorant humans + Convincing snake + Magic knowledge tree  + Infinite amount of time = Eating from the tree
