I thought that there would be peoples answers in here with regards to what they think sony should do about low ps3 sales...............

And within ONE POST the focus had switched to the 360.

More sweep it under the carpet and attack the opposition talk from sony's elite fanboys.

Boy, and i thought i changed topics fast................ this has to be a record.

To answer the OP................... Sony need to get back on the advertising train, here in the UK i see tonnes of adverts coming from the "other two consoles" even during times when game releases are lean.

If you step out of the spotlight....... you get forgotten.

The new big releases are almost none. Only infamous can boost a little, but not too much. Same for the xbox360, everything is being saved for the holidays and thats not the best idea. Last year a lot of the great games that were released (like mirrors edge) had very few sales. They should release more during the summer en spring.

As somebody previously said, the consoles are dropping heavily overall. Look at the drops for the quarter: http://www.vgchartz.com/forum/post.php?id=2172152

The consoles are down 35.2% overall (that's without the handhelds, as DS screws things up). Ps3 is down 32%. It's nothing special for the Ps3, as they're all going to hell (apparently). There's really nothing Sony can do to turn it around, well other than perhaps dropping the price. I do, however, believe that this is a bad time to do that, and that it would have a far larger impact sometime else.

So to answer the OP: Nothing. Sony can't really do anything at the current moment (well, at least as far as I see it).



When I write Fact: in one part of the post, and opinion: (or a similar word), it's not because I can then say "my opinion can't be wrong". It is to inform what part is pure facts, and which part I try to draw a conclusion in.

PS3 sales are bad.. but 360 isnt much better.. I would expect a sales gap of atleast 15-20k between the two... M$ need to get their avg japan sales into the 7-10k category.



Doubt is not a pleasant condition, but certainty is absurd.

a. a AAA 3D sonic title

b. a nintendo developed game that has a "M rating"

c. redesgined PS controller

d. SEGA back in the console business

e. M$ out of the OS business
