Care to explain how an 8M lead equals to Sony being on their knees? If MS even slips a little bit then they could lose their spot before it's all over. Last year Sony had great momentum that was only stopped by MS taking a drastic measure in a price drop. Now if you said the Wii, I would agree but the 360 has Sony on their Knees no they simply don't

It doesn't matter how many XBoxes are ahead of Playstations. In this battle all that matters is that Sony's business is not profitable. Much of the work may have been achieved by the Wii rather than the XBox, but if the disrupter isn't profiting that still suits Microsoft.

Next gen, Microsoft will go after Nintendo with the full force of Western PC game developers behind them. The 360 was designed from day one to go after the PS3.
Microsoft will probably win next gen and Western console development will be considered to be in its Golden Age much as Hollywood's Golden Age was considered to come with the rise of studios like Universal and MGM in the 30's and the death of European silent cinema.

So you wish the Japanese gaming industry to be brought to the ground? After they pretty much saved the inudstry and still contribute a shit load?
