Any links/sources to say that Rock* aint gonna be making a PS3 exclusive? |
Any links/sources to say that Sony isn't going to file for bankrupcy tommorow ?
Come on Sony fans your making us look stupid.
| rafichamp said: @stefan, how do you know that most of Take-Two's losses came from GTA IV? |
I didn't say that. Take Two is in some budgetary trouble. The company needs more income and less losses. Doing a exclusive gta on one platform, which has the smallest userbase, will lead to more losses. The chances of profits are minimal. Take Two can't afford that. Rockstar would simply not get the permission, because there is nothing or barely anything to gain.
In the wilderness we go alone with our new knowledge and strength.

I was just thinking, GTA: San Andrea's was a great game, so great that its one of PS2 best games ever made. The game had a huge open environment and you could do just about anything. The game however looked bad graphically, mainly due to the PS2's power. However, this has changed now, and the PS3 is very powerful. But the important thing is that PS3 has Blu-ray, and with that amount of space, GTA: San Andrea's could be made, with a even bigger and open environment, and "superb" graphics. Rockstar said that they would make a PS3 exclusive title. Many people thought that it was LA Noire, but Rockstar even said themselves that LA Noire was not the mystery PS3 title. Also by releasing this game Rockstar could show people what they wanted to show with GTA IV, which was to use the PS3's power to the limit. However, since GTA IV was decided that it would be multiplatform, Rockstar did not get the opportunity to use the PS3's full potential. In the end it would bring "pride" back to Rockstar's GTA franchise, and also would bring a lot of revenue for Rockstar. Showing this game off at E3 would be a megaton bomb, and would be even bigger then GTA IV's first announcement. In short form: 1. GTA: SA, would perfectly utilize PS3's Blu-Ray capabilities While playing GTA IV did you ever feel the environment was too small and you needed more? 2. Rockstar has yet to announce the mystery PS3 exclusive title It should be a new IP, but we haven't heard anything about it since 18 months or something 3. Would bring pride back to GTA franchise Fanboy argument. 4.$ Loads of revenue $ could be made off this game GTA IV created most of the revenue on the Xbox360 version - even without DLC 5. Could be the Biggest news in E3 history Rockstar said they won't show us anything. Tell me what you guys think. Could this happen? You think differently? Post your opinion!

I'm not denying you anything. This is a public forum, not some little hideaway for PS3 fans to (dream) about an exclusive GTA game. If somebody replys to me I am going to reply back. Honestly don't call me out unless you have something decent to say nen suer.

And if they release it exclusive to PS3,it wud boost system sales and then more people will buy the games in addition to the normal base. That way Rockstar earn more |
lol, first of all games don't cost 70 pounds in Europe. More like (the equivalent of) 75 Dollars.
And second of all, in those 75 Dollars a 20% VAT is included. And you know what 0.8 x $75 is?
$60.
Publishers and developers don't get a penny more from their games sold in Europe.
(actually, if anything, you could argue that they get less from Europe in some cases, if you look at the Eastern European game developers who sell their PC games for like $15-20 in Poland and Russia to try to combat the huge piracy).
