Hitting people with star punches while they are tuanting is devastating, so most of the x hits challenges should probably be done that way.

For example, bear hugger has a 2 hit knock down. 1 hit to get a star. When he taunts you launch a star punch and he goes down no matter what.

It's also how you get Disco Kid too. I didn't kn ow about Bear Hugger.

Just played Mr Dream twice and only landed a punch in each fight. What a nightmare.

Yeah, Mr Sandman is a bitch. Just keep trying on him. Or, go to exhibition. and practice against him.

At least he doesn't have any one-hit knockdown. He's a jerk with his punches that delay just long enough to pound your face when you come back from a dodge, but he's beatable. I took some righteous thrashings, but I actually beat him in fewer tries than it took me to get Super Macho Man.

My best record on Mr. Dream from the original Punch Out!! is twelve punches before getting TKO'ed. I wonder if Title Defense Mr. Sandman is going to be that brutal.

Oops sorry Mr Sandman.  Where did I get Mr Dream from?  Was that his name in the original?  Don't remember him being this hard.  On the upside I defeated Super Macho man for the first time ever.  On NES in order to finish the game I had to use the cheat code that took you to Sandman cause I couldn't beat Super Macho man.

Just looked at Chart Track UK and it seems this game didn't even make the top 40. How sad.

To punch him more than once after dodging a punch you have to punch him in the face and then use hooks because he'll block a second jab.

Really. Super Macho Man was pretty easy for where he was. Just farm stars from him and your golden. You just need to get the timing on the three closeline attacks.
