Atari 2600?
NES?
PS1?
Wii?
Others?
wii no one expanded the audence like the wii and ps1 they brought mature gamers

At the moment, either NES or PS1. The Wii is darn close, but it's hard to say if it beats NES or PS1. If Nintendo's 8th-gen home console can reach or top Wii's sales (meaning the traditional and expected audiences buy it), then I am very confident that it will be Wii.
The NES, people who say otherwise don't know their gaming history
Crusty VGchartz old timer who sporadically returns & posts. Let's debate nebulous shit and expand our perpectives. Or whatever.
ps1 and wii.

really miss the VGCHARTZ of 2008 - 2013...
NES! It brought the videogame market back to life which of course is more important than expanding it.
