A "dummed down" version isn't the same game though. I believe that's what the developers are trying to say, in their current forms, their games are impossible on other consoles.

Read my second point. They will never know unless they break away from Sony and dare to go 3rd party. Capcom made Dead Rising for the Wii so anything is possible if you have people with good talent.

You still don't get it, was Dead Rising: Chop till you Drop, the same game as Dead Rising was on the 360? The simple answer is no. The game was different in several ways and while it was fun on the Wii (IMO, I played it) it wasn't the same game. That's the point...

My point is we will never know because those three companies will never make anything besides PS3 games until they decide to break free from Sony.

Points of note:
Quantic Dream originally had HEAVY RAIN down as multiplat, but felt Sony had the same vision they did, and decided on PS3 exclusivity. I believe hey knew what the 360 hardware was capable of, and still decided on this. They felt that Sony would let them make the game "the way they wanted to", and announced a publishing deal with them
Sucker Punch I'm not so sure, weren't they owned by Microsoft, or working with Microsoft at one point?
Guerrilla Games is owned by Sony, so I agree with you on this dev...
One thing we definitely agree on, we will never know from these devs since two are sticking with Sony this gen, and one is owned by them, so they are Sony.

Sucker Punch Productions is a video game production company founded in 1997 and based in Bellevue, WA. It is an independent company, but has worked exclusively with Sony Computer Entertainment America since 2000.
In 1999, Sucker Punch released its first game, Rocket: Robot on Wheels, for the Nintendo 64. After signing a new deal with Sony in 2000, the company went on to create the Sly Cooper series for the PlayStation 2. One common characteristic of the Rocket and Sly Cooper games is that they featured a raccoon playing a major role.
The company is currently developing InFamous for the PlayStation 3, heralding a move from level-based games portraying cel-shaded, anthropomorphic animals to a fully streaming sandbox game depicting more realistic-looking humans and another characterstic includes protagonists with acrobatic abilities.
The company was founded in 1997 and according to the company's website it "started at the roots of Microsoft, where the co-founders all worked in a variety of productivity and software development applications. All shared a love for video games, yet only one had game development experience." The group decided to leave Microsoft in 1997 and became the independent company it is today that has worked with Sony to make the Sly Cooper franchise.
