The sex scene was only a small part of the game, marking the end of the "Paramore" storyline and marking your achievement on your significant other. You don't have to have one or you can have either liara or Ashley. The game is much deeper than you think. Ignorance is bliss, I guess.

 This is where the series gets darker. I believe the Shadow Broker was the guy who sold all organics down the river.

If that was the case, then why did SB have a quarrel with Saren?

I think that the SB has ties to The Collectors more than anything else.

Other way around -

Saren used the SB to obtain some knowledge, and then left him out to dry. That's why you are able to get the information about Saren from the Shadow Broker from Barla Von. Therefore, the Shadow Broker is against Saren.

I doubt the rest of the squad from ME1 is dead (Tali, Wrex, Garrus, Ashley, Kaiden, Liara), as they already stated that, depending on which ones died in ME1, they would return to ME2. Therefore, they must exist.

I still stand by the fact that Sheppard is either totally dead due to the Normandy attack, or his death was narrowly averted, and plays a very, very minor role in ME2.

 

Maybe they will exist right before they're actually killed in ME2!

Anyway, I'm eager to get more information on this game. I enjoyed the first one.

If you killed the council in ME (Assuming you were a renegade when you made that decision), the humans take over the council in ME2.

I know, I was just saying that as far as the story is concerned, I hope that the galaxy isn't in too much chaos.... Though considering the events that just preceded (especially with that ending), things would probably be quite hectic in the Mass Effect world.

According to the second Mass Effect novel, the galaxy doesn't know the Reapers were involved.  They think the Human fleet managed to decimate the bulk of the Geth Armarda, an Armarda thought to be acting of it's own initiative.
