I didn't know that N64 was more powerful than PS1, how so?

What do you mean how so? It just is. Just like PS3 is more powerful than Wii. And GC is more powerful than PS2. They're facts.

How could people be so blind?

64 bit > 32 bit

Guess which one was 64 bits?

PS1 couldnt match anything like Zelda OOT or Perfect Dark graphics wise.

3 times more, although this potential was barely ever used because of stupid limitations.

But since Sony had dominated the last two Gens, they thought that they could win this Gen whilst pushing their new movie format to victory at the same time

Long answer short: They listened to fanboys too much and not enough of business sence

i think the price is due more to the blue ray technology then the other hardware costs

Which was their undoing this gen. Fortunately, I doubt they'd repeat history in this case, too costly

True, Sony will learn their lesson.

True that...it´s funny how both Sony and Nintendo adopted this way of thinking with their 3rd console......not taking customers for granted and not overstimating a brand, no matter how successful it is, should be basic business decisions..instead, we got these apparently know-it-all guys at the top of multinational corporations making the most basic mistakes.

a 64 bit console vs a 32 bit console? cmon man...............

It sure as hell seemed the other way around.....

History shows that given a choice between a black and a grey/white console, the black console always loses.

Before anyone says PS2, remember that the Xbox and Gamecube were black and purple/black.

n64 had more power but had very stupid limitations that made ps1 a better choice
