Matt Damon really seems like the odd one out in that list. I think a good substitution would be Daniel Day Lewis (My Left Foot, There Will be Blood). Otherwise, I'm pretty much in agreement with your list as long as it's active actors.

I think his brother Casey Affleck is actually good. Quite good.

Bale was shit in Dark Knight and his voice work was terrible. Heath Ledger made that movie to be honest, he really did do a fantastic Joker.

@Rath - I missed that one. He's a fine actor, as he has shown in The Machinist, but he simply hasn't caught that role that would secure him as one of the greats.
