@staude

speak for yourself

If a company is incapable of releasing a game for 12 years, I don't care about the reason, but its a disgrace

Isn't it their game ? then how are they a disgrace ? If it's their game, they can decide when to release it.

Prey came out like years ago.

Also if you'd care to look into it you'd know the reasons why the game hadn't been released yet. Until you have.. you're opinion is nothing more than uninformed.

@staude

its about simple common sense, not economics

Take Two expects them to frikkin release the game within 12 years of starting to make it, is that so much to ask?

Well.... I doubt they want money... :P

Staude, I don't know how you can stick for 3D Realms when its been 12 years. Why would Take Two give them money when they haven't been able to finish the game after a dozen years. This lawsuit is about the IP and depending on the language of the 2007 contract Take Two may actually get the rights to the Duke Nukem IP, which means we may actually a see a new game in series released before we've all reached retirement age. In the time 3D Realms has been working on DNF, Nintendo went from 1st to 2nd to last and back to first again.

They werent first in 97 :p

However, Duke Nukem forever has actually only been in development for 2and a half year (with the current staff.. And they'd almost finished the game. It was less than a year from release) before that aparently the guys working it had no sense of organising so it had really just become one huge chaos and a big mess with no direction.

So while the title was announce 12 years ago. Sure.. The game you see in the leaked video has only been in development for 2.5 years.. and it was almost finished too.

It's pretty lame to stop them right before the finish line.

Thank you!

Seriously, just use an open source engine like the new revision to the Torque 3D engine and put the game out. It doesn't take long to put models and levels together and stick the scripting in there. My team could do that for under 100K in dev costs

If you drop a PS3 right on top of a Wii, it would definitely defeat it. Not so sure about the Xbox360. - mancandy
