2009.04.30 - PS3 will OUTSELL x360 atleast by the middle of 2010. Japan+Europe > NA.


Gran Turismo 3 - 1,06 mln. in 3 weeks with around 4 mln. PS2 on the launch.
Gran Turismo 4 - 1,16 mln. with 18 mln. PS2 on the launch.

Final Fantasy X - around 2 mln. with 5 mln. PS2 on the launch.
Final Fantasy X-2 - 2.4 mln. with 12 mln. PS2 on the launch.

The PS3 is very large, and a slim would allow for a reduction in production costs. Sony will do this, and if coupled with a price cut to $300, along with Gran Turismo...
It would be game over.

Sony can do this, but for all of that to come together at this E3 would be unbelievable. Too risky financially for Sony at this point in time.

So more than likely a slim won't exist until next year sometime.

Also, those leaked slim images are absolutely fake, its ridiculous its even in the news section imo. Although the real slim may look like a more refined version of that fake slim model.

Way to make safe estimates.  In other words, I predict that the PS3 will end this generation within +/- 50 million of the 360's total.

Also, once the next generation starts, the PS3 will be the first to be discontinued at retail, especially if it is still 10 million behind.  That's just how it goes.

there wont be a slim 360. that slim ps3 is fake and its ugly. besides even a 299 PS3 wont help. because MS will drop the price of the 360 to counter
the PS3. and the size of the PS3 has nothing to do with sales
its the lack of games thats hurting sony
