Firstly, we all know that Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII is out in Japan. It came out last week and has been widely well received. It has sold in excess of 470k units in Japan alone and is due to be released in the US in February 2008. I'm in no doubt that Crisis Core will be well received in the US and Europe when it is released. (see below)
Then we come on to Final Fantasy: Dissidia. We're not too sure what this game will be like, but it looks like it could be similar to a Smash Bros Brawl game. Graphically, it looks stunning and there's no doubt this will be one of the most anticipated FF linked games to be released in 2008. (see below)
Then we come to the remakes of the first two Star Ocean games. Now named First Departure and Second Evolution. Even although the remakes of FFI and FFII weren't particularly well received WW, there seems to be more time and effort being put into these remakes and they could become decent additions to any PSP owners collection. (see below)
Finally, after days of rumours. SE announced that the PSP will be getting one of only three new Kingdom Hearts games (the DS and mobile phones to get the other two). Entitled Birth by Sleep, this game will be done in the same way as KH1 and KH2. Rumours suggest that the Crisis Core team are behind the build of the game and no doubt will use their 2 year experience with the PSP and success with their build of Crisis Core graphically along with the enhancement of the 333Mhz released PSP should provide us with a technically and aesthetically sound Kingdom Hearts game. All in all, Square-Enix certainly is providing the goods for the PSP.
