What defines better? Is there a score card or something?

Useful inventions and innovations I would suppose, since thats why we consider ourselves an intelligent species.

Yet, today, America's leaders are reenacting every folly that brought these great powers [Russia, Germany, and Japan] to ruin -- from arrogance and hubris, to assertions of global hegemony, to imperial overstretch, to trumpeting new 'crusades,' to handing out war guarantees to regions and countries where Americans have never fought before. We are piling up the kind of commitments that produced the greatest disasters of the twentieth century.

Thats not really fair, now is it. Women in most cultures were not allowed to do much of anything up until the turn of the 20th century.

The original question is about biologically, not socially or academically superior though.

I'll second The Ghost of RubangB's notion about the hairiness though XD.

But women have periods, so that sucks for them.

Men stronger, women can be smarter. But you need both to survive. So they equal. But i think that man is superior because man shaped the world as we know it, for better or worse.

OK then, woman have a more complete set of chromosomes then a man.

You are so right in that statement.

Guess they didn't want to do anything for centuries, but when the 20th hit, boy howdy did they want get involved for no apparent reason all of a sudden.

In anthropology class we were taught the balance of power between men and women depends on who brings home the food (or in today's society, money)

There have in fact been matriarchal societies before. It depends a lot on geographical location. Men traditionally do the hunting and the women do the gathering - what the land naturally had to offer had a lot to do with how the society shaped.

Nowadays we are so far from hunter-gatherer societies things balance out - women don't have to spend nearly as much time out of their lifespans raising kids. Both men and women can earn livable wages - even if men still statistically on average make more.
