I thought that was bigamy!
Bi = two
poly = many
We had two bags of grass, seventy-five pellets of mescaline, five sheets of high-powered blotter acid, a salt shaker half full of cocaine, a whole galaxy of multi-colored uppers, downers, screamers, laughers…Also a quart of tequila, a quart of rum, a case of beer, a pint of raw ether and two dozen amyls. The only thing that really worried me was the ether. There is nothing in the world more helpless and irresponsible and depraved than a man in the depths of an ether binge. –Raoul Duke
It is hard to shed anything but crocodile tears over White House speechwriter Patrick Buchanan's tragic analysis of the Nixon debacle. "It's like Sisyphus," he said. "We rolled the rock all the way up the mountain...and it rolled right back down on us...." Neither Sisyphus nor the commander of the Light Brigade nor Pat Buchanan had the time or any real inclination to question what they were doing...a martyr, to the bitter end, to a "flawed" cause and a narrow, atavistic concept of conservative politics that has done more damage to itself and the country in less than six years than its liberal enemies could have done in two or three decades. -Hunter S. Thompson

riight ...
Well of course I understand Homsexuality, and to some point prostitution, but Polygamy .. why? they don't deserve the same rights as the first two.
Gay marriage - allowed in many parts of Europe, and we still have less frogs than Austria
Prostitution - legal, taxed and (partially) monitored
Polygamy - ever heard of Swinger clubs? Ever heard of young ones having more than one partner? Ever lived in Saudi Arabia? It does exist, just not in a legal marriage form.

Gay Marriage - I'm not gay, but if you choose to marry another dude, thats none of my business.
Polygamy - Hell no. Marriage is between a man and a woman, not a man and 4 women
Prostitution - Fine with me, BUT, it should be strongly regulated. Prostitutes should be paying taxes on all the money they make, and they should have regular checks for STD's.

Is the bold part not contradictory to your first part about gay marriage?
Gay Marriage - I know many gay people (I work in Cologne
) and think that everyone should be able to love the person they want to. So if two men love each other that's fine. And they should of course have the same rights as a "normal" couple. That means I think gay marriage is perfectly fine.
Polygamy - You should only be able to marry one person (at the same time
). If you have fallen in love with several people, okay...then have several affairs/relationships going on at the same time. But a marriage should only occur if you believe the person you are going to marry is the one and only.
Prostitution - If there are people who are willing to pay for having sex...that's okay.

I have no issues with gay marriage and prostitution being legal because in the latter's case, being illegal doesn't make it happen any less. I don't like prostitution at all, since I believe to be one of the most degrading things to sell oneself but I do understand that by making it legal, it is better for those women, since it is regulated and there's lesser risks. That's why I'm for making it legal.
Polygamy I'm not so sure... I mean it is often abused of and people being in sects are basically brainwashing young girls into it. It's an offense and crime to humanity. This is mainly why I'm iffy about it.
There are personal reasons as well... I have a hard time understanding how a woman would want to "share their husbands with someone else. It is a valid reason but imo, it wouldn't be a concern to me, if I were to vote for or against it as it's personal issues against it rather than going with morals, laws and human protection/rights.
Even though I don't understand it, I guess it could happen in a few cases that they genuinely all love each other. *Shrugs*
all are human, so all deserve the same human rights as others, all should be legal
Liberalism will lead to the end of the world.
