According to Live360.fr, on november 2nd, France (and probably all Europe) will have two new X360 packs :

1st one : the premium value pack, its the usual premium pack but with Viva Pinata and Forza Motorsport 2 for the same price as actual premium pack, 349€.  This one seems to have been confirmed by microsoft on another site.

2nd one : the X360 Arcade, its the core x360 but this time with hdmi, wireless pad, a 256 mb memory card and 5 xla games for the same price as actual core, 279 €

I know a precedent rumour concerning Arcade has already been debunked a few weeks ago but this time, the FNAC website had the two packs in command this morning.  The FNAC is the largest multimedia store chain in France so generally they dont put fake preorders on their site. 

Do somebody have more informations on that ?

A big french retailer (FNAC) has released 2 news offers for the Xbox360.
You were able to pre-commad them for the 2 november 2007.

NOW, Microsoft has saied "it is bullshit and the offer is off".

In fact, Microsoft just denied this, but, as with the Sony Starter pack that was leaked, it will happen too !

viva pinata and forza two packed in at the same price could go down VERY well in Europe. FM2 stands up to GT Prologue easily, especially combined with PGR4's arrival. And Europe would be much more receptive to VP if it reached a big enough market penetration to spread word of mouth.

The arcade pack says it comes with a 256mb memory card, but I thought the memory card was only available as a 64mb or a 512mb version?

And things change. We are using cars now that run on electricity.

A 256mb card could be pretty easy to do.

I imagine the 64mb cards are becoming too expensive in the fact they are not cost-effective.

Right now, 133mhz SDRAM is around $50, and at the same price, you can get 3x the clock speed for the same price.

I do see this as a great move for MS. In fact they need this bundle everywhere right now. At least the one for the Core. Like rocketpig said the Core needs help.
