Doesn't forza 2 include those racing line features? I don't know about Forza 1, but I know that Forza 2 definately has them.

I don't know how anyone can state it better than this. Maybe GT5 will change things but the GT series has been stuck in neutral. GT looks better graphically that Forza but everything else is in Forza's favor.

So this generation there is only one good racing simulator...

Hmmmm. Think you'll find fanboys say GT is better. Simulationists wont say either is an out an out sim. But out of F2 and GT4 ( 5 is not out to comapre ) F2 wins easily. F2's racing is better than even GT5P so far and the physics to. But where it excels is in customization. Not just talking about paint jobs. The amount of tech changes majorly outways GT. Downforce, suspension, tyres, gears etc etc. Also the telemetry you get back so you can shave that 100th of a second off your laptime is insane. Yes Forza is more hardcore. GT just has more cars. Well if you count 30 different Evo's as a good car list.

Comparing a game released in late 2004/early 2005 for the PS2 to a game realeased in mid 2007 for the X360 is a great comparison.  Try a little bit harder, and you'll find two games that are much better to compare.  I'll give you a hint, the games are from the same generation.

gt taught me how to take curves at speed. the way it has the brakes destabilize the car as it goes into the curve was a great learning tool. usually people go hell bent into a curve and brake through it. gt changed all that.

But hey if GT can teach you to race so can forza since they are pretty much the same game

And also their are plenty of games that destroy forza and GT for realism....

So since you so truly hearold GT as the end all of racing games but the only thing you really say is better about it is the way it handles, then why don't you play one of the racing sims on the pc that are more realistic??  eh smart one??

Hypothetically speaking, what would you do if Forza 3 destroys GT5 in every single possible way (I'm not saying it actually will) what would you do??

but wait i can answer that.  You would still hail GT to be the best racing sim in the universe....hell even if the next GT turned out to be an arcade racer you would still hail it as the end to be all racing game and say it is the most realistic....Doesn't matter if GT5 got 70's, you would still hail it at the best.

Play forza 2 and stop being so freakin biased because they are not THAT much different: and that is actually a fact that most sane logical people will say if they have trully played them both.

Bottom line is i don't care which one people prefer, thats their opinion and i'm ok with that...I don't care if YOU prefer GT over forza, but the people that say GT is leagues ahead of forza are just plain daft!!

Resistance 2 and Halo 3 aren't that much different either.  Why do people say Halo 3 is leagues ahead of Resistance?  You could do this all day. 

Gran Turismo is bar none the best console racing sim ever created.  The only things it has lacked as a series are on the verge of being added in GT5.  If all of these features make the final cut?   Forza can't compete at that level. Solid, Quality game?  Sure Forza fits that billing.  In the same class as a Gran Turismo?  Not a chance.

I would contend that the two games are very similar, the only real difference is the fact that they are exclusive to their consoles. This of course creates asinine fanboy wars.
