Egyptian court 'bans porn sites'

A court in Cairo has issued a ruling that bans pornographic websites in Egypt, state news agency Mena reports.

The Administrative Court in Cairo has ordered the government to block the "venomous and vile" sites in response to a case filed by a Muslim lawyer.

Nizar Ghorab had argued that the "electronic dens of vice" were destroying Egyptian social values

How can a Muslim lawyer ban porn for the whole country when only 85% of Egypt is Muslim? So most likely only 85% were oppose to it and then wouldnt use it anyway.

Strange goings on.  Your thoughts?

My thought is that far more than 50% of the population in Egypt are muslim.

Good luck banning porn.. people are just going to view and produce it anyway.. these people are not going to stop it at all.

Egypt is predominantly Muslim, with Muslims comprising of 85% of the overall poulation.

But still these 85% wont go on porn sites anyway because they are muslims so why prevent the reminaing 15%?

I thought it was a sin. I have to admit im not 100% sure on that one. I just presumed. They arnt allowed to jack off or anything of that nature untill married so...

it being a sin does not mean that people don't do it. I mean, Catholics aren't supposed to do any of that kind of stuff either but that doesn't really mean anything in this day and age, does it? I say "catholicism" just because that's probably the only religion bigger than Islam. 

I don't see why Islam would be any different.

Because Egypt hardly cares about that other 15% they are using swineflu as an excuse to kill all the Christians pigs.
