I get stuff like this all the time, I thought it was just me... I just had to do my following solution 4 hours ago with 7 Samuri DVD...
Turn it off and back on.
I would cite regulation, but I know you will simply ignore it.

I posted my problem on the official Playstation forums, and a guy told me to go to my video settings and turn off the 1080p 24hz output to see my movies, and it did indeed work.
Thanks for the help though anyway
