Forums - Microsoft - Mass Effect Given 34/40 in Famitsu

Only getting a release in Japan soon, nearly a year and a half after the rest of the world got the game, Famitsu has given Mass Effect 34/40.

The game got seperate scores of:

9/9/8/8

It’s the first review score we’ve recieved from Famitsu and will probably be the last for a while as far as Mass Effect games are concerned, it’s probably gonna be a while before Mass Effect 2 hits Japan.

Mass Effect 2 is released in the West, exclusively for the Xbox 360 (for now at least…) early next year, while the original is out on Xbox 360 Classics for only £14.99. Go pick it up already if you havent, one of the fine games of 2007.

Anyway good score, not that it means anything coming from them

I have no respect for Famitsu anymore, not after all their failed scores of late.

Just look at all the voice acting they have to do and changing all the text to Japanese

matt247 theory of why it just now being released in Japan is probably right, but still a year and a half is way too long the job should have been done in under a year. Anyway Mass Effect is pretty good from what I've played so far already enjoying it a lot more then Jade Empire which wasn't that good in my opinion.
