Its kinda hard to put down pay to play XBL when the majority of pc online titles also cost monthly, for each game. Plus, pc gaming will never be cheaper when you calculate the cost of the pc itself.

I wonder if you actually read my post ^^;;;; I said they about even out, think about it, it's at least 10 dollars cheaper per game, if you have 10 games, that's already 100 bucks, if you are completely a PS3 or 360 gamer and have around 40 games at least, that's a 400 dollar difference right there. I have no idea why you say majority of PC online titles cost monthly, that just brought down your credibility by about 100% because that means you lack the knowledge and understanding of how PC games work, you are thinking mmo games, which by now, only a few actually require you to pay monthly unless you get suckered into buying special stuff, there are just very few PC games that require you to pay monthly and a lot more freeware games if anything. XBL is retarded, but we all know that already.

Well, Sony says a lot, don't they. :p

Well what else are they supposed to say. "yea we got pretty much thrashed and know we are going to lose. Sorry to the people that bought the console but we suck."

I mean that's great PR. I mean I would hope for the investors and the current owners that they still think they can win or at least will continue on supporting the console. If not then that is just a mistake. We know it is not likely that they can win but it's better for PR to say this rather than we got owned or we quit.

I read the post, you are just being short sided with your math. it breaks down like this:

$1500 (at least) for decent gaming pc

$40 for game

$10 a month for pay to play (at least) x12 for year of service=

$1660 for a year of the same game, say, I dunno, WOW.

$300 for 360

$60 for game

$50 per year xbox live, play any online game under that price=

$410

$400 for PS3

$60 for game

$0 for online play=

$460,

the point is console market kills the pc market in terms of value AND sales. And, the PS3 is a great system, the average consumer, unfortunetly cannot see past their nose. if someone bought the 360, or the Wii first, they are probably going to side with their respective choice, but someone who really does their homework in an unbiased manner, will pick the PS3...

it doesn't cost 1500 lol, what is wrong with you? you assume everybody plays WoW for some reason, which I don't play, and I'll bet you money that if there is a mmorpg on PS3, you'd have to pay monthly anyways(FF11 on PS2 anybody? hell monster hunter isn't even mmo and you pay for that,) so your point is not even logical. the simple math is you won't only have 1 game lol, what the hell kind of a gamer is that? there are more PCs capable of gaming than all current gen consoles combined, the amount of games are just too many so the sales all spread out, people are still playing starcraft for crying out loud. I personally don't know why you'd bring up "biased" into this, because as far as I'm concerned, we are the only 2 even continuing this and I'm the only one that keeps bring in the valid arguments and having all consoles while you are there unable to accept that there are many things the PS3 simply can't do vs a PC for some reason which is really really weird. I can put together a PC for less than 800 dollars that'd far outperform anything HD consoles can handle, I'm typing this semi laughing actually because I can't even take you seriously anymore. a PS3 is still 400-500 dollars depending on your model, like I said, the values are about equal because I know simple math that you learn in elementary school, but you actually get more from a PC if you know what you are doing.

Where the hell are you getting $1500 for a gaming PC?

Currently a $700 PC will play Crysis with max effects at a resolution of 1900X1200 (or 1080p if you use a 16:9 TV)

Well I payed $1000 for my PC 4 months ago (Canadian, so I get kind of shafted compared to US prices), that is more than capable of producing graphics that destroy the PS3.

Infact, I would argue that Empire: Total War @ 1900X1200 with all the fancy effects and large unit sizes is way more difficult to render than Crysis.

Crysis is kinda old news by now tbh, I'm waiting for the PC version of a cryengine3 game to kick our asses since the console demo version doesn't even come close to crysis.
