I read the post, you are just being short sided with your math. it breaks down like this:
$1500 (at least) for decent gaming pc
$40 for game
$10 a month for pay to play (at least) x12 for year of service=
$1660 for a year of the same game, say, I dunno, WOW.
$300 for 360
$60 for game
$50 per year xbox live, play any online game under that price=
$410
$400 for PS3
$60 for game
$0 for online play=
$460,
the point is console market kills the pc market in terms of value AND sales. And, the PS3 is a great system, the average consumer, unfortunetly cannot see past their nose. if someone bought the 360, or the Wii first, they are probably going to side with their respective choice, but someone who really does their homework in an unbiased manner, will pick the PS3...

Where the hell are you getting $1500 for a gaming PC?
Currently a $700 PC will play Crysis with max effects at a resolution of 1900X1200 (or 1080p if you use a 16:9 TV)

because he doesn't know what he's talking about, and he's calling me biased hahahaha.

Well I payed $1000 for my PC 4 months ago (Canadian, so I get kind of shafted compared to US prices), that is more than capable of producing graphics that destroy the PS3.
Infact, I would argue that Empire: Total War @ 1900X1200 with all the fancy effects and large unit sizes is way more difficult to render than Crysis.
