CyberConnect2, the development studio behind the .hack and Naruto Ultimate Ninja series, is working on a new Playstation 3 project. Although the title remains unannounced, a sequel to Naruto Ninja Storm seems likely since the company already built their cel-shaded engine for the series.

A new Ultimate Ninja Storm would be welcomed, if they just improved it a little, made mission mode a little less tedious, and added online it'd be one of the best brawlers this gen.

This. They really need to get rid of the tedious stuff, and then they would have a great game on their hands.

This. The story mode needs to be more of a story and less of a "Leave the village to go after orochimaru"

afterwards, YAY you cought up !.. now you're back at the village where you can hang out...

 

 

Next mission "Face Orochimaru ! Time is off the essence. ...

 

That really ruined immersion. But Naruto UNS is a truly unique fighting game and a awesome one at that. A true 3d fighter.

i love naruto games, but i would rather see new .hack game.

ok so this is fail apparently - http://www.gamercenteronline.net/2008/12/24/cyberconnect2-working-on-new-ip-ps3-exclusive/

it looks like a new IP and may be for psp/ps2 as well.

I guess you're right about being a new IP

However i would like to see a new Naruto game thats far into the manga series would be nice.  I dont want them to milk it as Dragonball did on PS2.

I hope, they add online this time.
Then this game will be definitely an AAA fighting game based on anime. =)
