Well with the escalating costs of development, and reluctance to just develop for the Wii, we are not going to see a PS2 style dominance. As nearly all multiplatform games are coming to PS360, and Sony has the largest first party studios, the PS3 is going to have the most games, though not necessarily the best games (though I think they do).

As for great games, it is entirely subjective, but with more PS3 games, and my hatred of Mario, I think the PS3 is going to have the best games

Because, OBVIOUSLY, Mario is all the Wii has.

There isn't even a new Mario coming out this year.

When I say Mario, I mean games of that sort of style, with the exception of Ratchet and Clank. I also don't like the Wii mote style of play, and have no interested in getting out of my comfy chair and waggling that remote around. I have also played Wii Sports and found it incredibly boring... but there is no real need to get into all the details of why I dislike the Wii

OK, you dislike the Wii. That's fine.

But why do people always say this? You don't have to. I sit in my chair relaxing when playing Wii Sports. And you don't even have to move your arm that much. Really, like every single Wii game doesn't require you to get out of your chair. For sure no core Wii games require you to do that. That's what people think but it's not true at all. It's just the commercials and whatever try to make it look like that. It's just marketing.

Because it is well used frase and I do not actually mean it, especially as if I did, I would be at a terrible angle to view my TV, and about 2 feet away from a 40" screen, but then again, when playing Wii sports you can't really swing you arm like you would if you were playing tennis, and you can't really play a golf shot, but that isn't really the best way to play that game is it. (I did my decent golf swing, and it did not even register it!!). Also, the Wii is seen as being the console for the future as it encourages kids to exercise, but that is just the press exagerating things. Also, I am in the middle of doing Geography prep, so this top is not getting my completely undivided attention

Not the way I see it...The Wii, despite being market leader for almost 3 years, continues to be the system with the smallest number of games I want, which is a first for a generation.

The wii has had few games this first half. However, I expect the Wii to have the best line up for the second half of 2009. Actually June is the first half, and it's looking better than Jan-May...

it depends who is judging quality
little kids and casual gamers have no interest in the games on the 360/ps3 the same way we have no interest in the library of the wii.

and being market leader isn't necessarily about having the best games , its about appealing to the largest audience. in the past they have just gone hand in hand.

i dont even see the point of this thread

why do you say its a tough call if you always backed the ps3

Tss Soriku stop being an nintendo wannabe fan =p.

Right now, according to our game database, the game count looks like this:

Wii: 867

360: 621

PS3: 476

I would be very surprised if that order changed at all during the rest of the generation.

Flame bait

it really isn't. it's a valid question for a phenomenon that hasn't been seen before this gen. It's a rather interesting topic. It's a shame not many people are interested in it

Had this been asked by anyone but Skeeuk, would you still call it flamebait?

Considering that the Wii got 400 more games than the PS3 during the time that most third parties were "ignoring" it, I'm going to have to disagree.
