This movie will have great legs, simply because it made more (according to boxofficemojo) on Saturday than it did on Friday.. and usually front-loaded movies go down on Saturday.

I was dragged to this movie by a friend and have honestly never been a fan of the series.. but I absolutely loved the film.

I loved it, and already watched it twice since Friday!

I hope this only means that a new era of Star Trek episodes and movies will happen (with those same actors)! ^^

There is going to be another 1 in 2011, so they are going to continue this new franchise

I assume that this series is rebirth, what happened before is not true, due to the creation of an alternate reality

Wolverine made 87m it's first weekend so Star Trek is not too far behind and will make more during the weekdays than Wolverine did. The 160m figure was the worlwide opening weekend figure. Star Trek will make more worldwide than Wolverine. Word of mouth and the stellar reviews will give this legs much like Iron Man did last year.

This movie is going to sell a LOT of DVD's.

Yeah, I guess this is how they "revived" James T. Kirk like they wanted to since the Picard (Next Generation) movies. I always thought this way was a bit too simple, but that's probably because, as a gamer, I've seen the scenario many times before! =P

At least it's plausible.

I can't wait to see this the second exams are over.

It was good. The eye candy is top notch.

I don't know why exactly, but, for me, it felt like the movie never got started. About 3/4ths of the way through I realized that what I was seeing was the main part of the plot of the film. I think, perhaps, with the continuous introduction of characters through the halfway point of the film made it feel like the beginning parts of the movie lasted just as long. But the acting and effects were good.

I give it an 8. They ever so slightly overdid Chekov and his 'comedy accent'

My only real complaint is:

Why didn't they show the Enterprise in action? The final showdown was a bit pap.
